writen by Patrick Suskind. This is a German Author, writing a book about Perfume, set in 18th centuary France.

I have read some weird and wonderful books over the last couple of years, and this is both. Beautifully written, it is about the sense of smell. It is a great book, but with a "sting in the tail". It really is hard to put down it goes along nice and slowly for 90% of the book, but the last 10% just goes so quick, and you would never guess the ending.

Did you know it's been made into a film? I haven't read the book, but I have seen the film. Most intriguing and strange!

Hi Tom, yes I thought the book was strange. I have just asked my husband to order us the film to see. Although it could be uncomfortable viewing!

I loved this book, but haven't seen the film - I can't see how they could do it, it has such a bizarre plot.
